My practice is deeply anchored by my background in social behavioural sciences. An array of past experiences have shaped my thoughts and ideals for my works visually and conceptually, touching on broader social, psychological and existential related issues. I am drawn to the ambivalence of nature, its fragility and strength and the challenge of maintaining harmony and equilibrium.

As a sculptor, I look into the method of creating texture and organic forms, to enable me to enjoy freedom of movement and express the need for the tactile. I often employ in the process contrasting materials and colours, and frequently include organic elements found in nature. I am drawn to vertical forms and objects, attracted by their physical elegance. Following an artist residency at the ICA in Singapore, I started working with rope, attracted by its sensory and tactile form as well as its multiple symbolic attributes.

With my larger installations I seek to create an immersive experience for the viewer…”Limor’s work positions us in theatrically orchestrated environments where the natural and the handmade, order and disorder interact to create a new type of topography or scenography for the viewer to contemplate” (Professor Ergin Cavusoglu)
